今日のフレーズは、日常会話でよく出てくる表現です。
イギリス英語特有の言い回しでもあります。
get on well で 「仲が良い」という意味です。
また、get on well with 〜 で、「〜と仲が良い」というイディオムです。
well なしで、 get on with でも同じ意味です。
ちなみに、アメリカ英語だと、
get along with 〜 で、「〜と仲が良い」というイディオムになります。
例えば、
I get on well with him.
(私は彼と仲が良い。)
He can't get on well with his classmates.
(彼はクラスメートと仲良くできない。)
She gets on well with her co-workers.
(彼女は同僚と仲が良い。)
といった使い方になります。
